Dawn is Deadly

Dawn is Deadly (coming soon)

The Great War is over, but its darkest secrets have survived.

London, 1919. Anna Stevens is one of Britain's first university-trained statisticians, using mathematics to calculate pensions for the thousands of men the war left behind. While reviewing government mortality tables, she discovers an impossible pattern. Former soldiers are dying at a rate no calculation can explain.

As Whitehall sheds its wartime staff, Anna loses the position she earned while the men were away at war. The only evidence she possesses is hidden in a notebook of calculations she is no longer authorized to complete. With no official standing and nowhere else to turn, she enlists the reluctant help of Dr. Percy Grey, a former Royal Army Medical Corps physician whose own wartime memories make him determined to keep her far from danger.

Soon Anna uncovers a chilling truth. The surviving members of a wartime firing squad are being hunted down one by one.

As the list of executioners grows shorter, Anna must outwit a killer before another name is crossed off forever.

But justice comes at a cost. To uncover the truth, Anna must do more than catch a murderer. She must find the courage to embrace the bold, unconventional future that has always set her apart from the world around her—and perhaps inspire the man she loves to believe in a future of his own.
